25 Years in the Making
For over 25 years, our founder used a hand-mixed blend of mineral oil and beeswax to finish and protect the cutting boards, serving boards, and wooden kitchen items coming out of his woodworking classes. Every student learned the same thing: if you want your board to last, you need to treat it right — and nothing works better than a simple, honest combination of food-grade mineral oil and natural beeswax.
Year after year, students would ask the same question: "Where can I buy this?"
The answer was always the same — you can't. There was nothing on the market that matched what he was making by hand. The big-box products were full of synthetic ingredients or imported oils. The specialty brands charged a fortune. And none of them were Canadian-made with Canadian ingredients.
His wife heard these stories for years and saw what he couldn't — an untapped market in Canada for a premium, honest, food-safe wood care product made entirely with Canadian ingredients. She took that 25-year formula and turned it into Beaver Wood Care.

Beaver Wood Care Cutting Board Cream is a blend of food-grade mineral oil and natural Canadian beeswax. It sits on the surface and creates a smooth, waterproof seal that protects against moisture, stains, and daily wear.
The oil feeds the wood. The cream protects it. Together, they do what 25 years of woodworking taught us a board actually needs — honest, food-safe care that lasts.
